Wood Working Classes

Learn Basic woodworking skills such as;
- Material selection,
- Design
- Safe use of tools
- Finishes
In a set program designed to challenge but inspire anyone willing to give it a go. No prior experience needed!
We aim for classes to have 6-8 students, all working in pairs to complete each project. A great and fun way to meet new people and create memories with love ones.
All Tools and materials will be provided as well as a mid class tea and coffee break!
For a class to go ahead we will need the minimum number of 4 students to a class. If a class is unable to go ahead, we will be in contact.

Can my 14 year old partake in the classes?
As much as we want to involve young people in the woodworking world, we have put an age limit on the classes, the youngest we are allowing in is 18. Not because we don't like kids, but because there's a bunch of legal frame work we need to comply with, and shamefully, I haven't looked into what exactly that will be yet.
Down the line, I would like to open up the factory to schools and invite students who picked woodworking as an elective to come in and get hands on experience in a working factory.
Is it safe?
Yes. We have designed these classes to be fun and creative while being in a safe space, I just can't guarantee you wont get splinters. With all major machining done before class by our trained team, all work in class is done with hand tools and clamps. We also will do a safety induction before the class starts, and hand out the necessary PPE.
Can I take my chopping board home?
Definitely! We encourage all who come in for a class to boast about what they made to friends and family. You will even get a little touchup bottle of the chopping board oil to maintain after its been used a few times.
Do you offer any other classes?
At the moment we are staying with the chopping boards. I would love to branch out and build on the basics you learn in the chopping board class, but limited on time and manpower for that at the moment. Maybe further down the track we will start todo classes for side tables.
